Apple has released a new software update - version 2.2 - both for the tribe to the iPhone and iPod touch, introducing features such as Google Street View and remote podcasts, along with the usual bunch of fixes and improvements.

In addition to the Google Street View, Apple has added new features to other Google Maps, so that users can look up public transit and walking directions, view addresses fell location pins and share via e-mail.
